Every time you use a Google product or service, you are (probably unwittingly) engaging a Google Data Center, located in various suburbs throughout the world. As you might imagine, these Data Centers can take up a lot of space, but Google is embarking on a new initiative to beautify these otherwise-imposing structures with the Google Data Center Mural Project.
With the help of artists like Jenny Odell and Oli-B, the Google Data Center Mural Project is replacing those drab Data Center walls with colorful, street-art-inflected murals. You can see two of the completed works if you happen to be in Mayes County, Oklahoma or Saint-Ghislain, Belgium, but the project won’t be complete until all of Google’s Data Centers are sporting spiffy new murals.
