Tech giant Google is encroaching on another aspect of your daily life: Your television viewing experience. They’re doing it with the Google Chromecast, a thumb-drive-like device that you plug into your HDTV’s USB port and almost instantly allows you to stream TV and movies from Netflix, YouTube, and anything else that can be streamed through the Google Chrome browser.
Like most Google products, it’s designed to be quick and easy to use. And miniaturization is a key component as well, as the Google Chromecast is much smaller than a Roku set-top box or other wireless streaming devices.
You can get a Goggle Chromecast device from Amazon here, where they’re priced at a little over $80.
