There’s a remake of the 1995 cyberpunk anime classic Ghost in the Shell on its way to theaters, and depending on the type of person you are that may or may not have you interested in either revisiting or checking out the original for the first time. Good news if you are interested, because it’s getting a limited engagement in more than 100 movie theaters in the US next month.
On February 7th and 8th, viewers will be able to see the real Ghost in the Shell, content in the knowledge that they aren’t supporting cultural appropriation or 90s remakes. On the 7th, a subtitled version of the film with its original Japanese soundtrack will be presented, while the English dub will screen on the following night.
