Netflix appears to be carving a niche for itself – one of many niches, really – as a home for live-action adaptations of popular anime adaptations. Last year Netflix released a live-action Death Note, and today they released a trailer for an upcoming live action version of Fullmetal Alchemist.

I’m not an anime guy, so I can’t speak to how well this Fullmetal Alchemist trailer captures the spirit of the source material. But I do know this one is actually in Japanese and with a Japanese cast, so the accusations of whitewashing that hit Death Note are handily avoided. Take a look for yourself below:

If that trailer achieved its purpose and got you psyched for the new Fullmetal Alchemist movie, good news – you only have to wait a few more days to see the whole movie. It hits Netflix accounts everywhere on Monday, February 19th, so just hang tight and you’ll have it in front of your eyeballs soon.
