If you ever wondered exactly how Jason Voorhees is able to stalk his prey in the Friday the 13th sequels, a new upcoming video game lets you experience them from Jason’s point of view, while at the same time experiencing the vicarious thrill of slaughtering teenagers for having sex. It’s called Friday the 13th: The Game, and a new gameplay trailer shows exactly how it will work.
Judging from the trailer, Friday the 13th: The Game doesn’t exactly put a high premium on challenging the player, instead putting him behind the mask of an effectively omnipotent Jason. You can teleport and zip through Camp Crystal Lake like one of the spirits from The Evil Dead, and you’re (of course) equipped with a strong array of bladed weapons. And if you don’t feel like hacking a teen to pieces, you can always just chase him into the path of a speeding vehicle.
