Believe it or not, there’s actually going to be a Ferrari themed amusement park open to the public. And that’s not an analogy for some museum or Ferrari dealership, but an actual amusement park, with rides and attractions, as part of the PortAventura theme park in Barcelona, Spain. It’s called Ferrari Land, and construction on it has recently begun.
Ferrari Land will include Ferrari Formula One simulators and a 367-foot vertical ride engineered to mimic the g-forces experienced by a top-speed Ferrari F1 driver. There will presumably be lots of other treats for both Ferrari fans and thrill junkies, two groups which probably have a considerable amount of overlap between them.
Additional details on Ferrari Land are still to come, as the section of PortAventura isn’t set to open until late 2016 at the earliest. But you can see a rendering of what the completed park will look like up at the top, and for more from PortAventura head to its official site right here.
