As screens continue to encroach upon every aspect of our daily lives, it’s really only a matter of time before driving your car becomes yet another occasion to stare at a screen. And so we have products like Exploride, a heads-up display that gives drivers text and social media notifications, Google Maps navigation, music, dash cam, and more.
I don’t usually offer product advice here, but I do have to take issue with the name “Exploride” though – when you’re selling something that people will be interacting with as they drive their cars, do you really want the word “explode” to be the first thing your product name brings to mind? But, nevertheless, the product is controlled via voice and gesture commands, so hopefully the number of explosions linked to it will be minimal.
Or maybe most people don’t think of explosions when they see the Exploride name – which would explain its massive success on IndieGoGo here, where you can pre-order yours starting at $270.
