Hollywood legend Steve McQueen continues to be the number one movie icon for car lovers even more than 30 years after his untimely death. So a handsome coffee table book covering the myriad automobiles associated with McQueen, not just onscreen but in his real-life garage as well, seems like a good idea.
It’s called McQueen’s Machines, and the cars covered inside include the 1968 Ford Mustang GT 390 that Steve McQueen drove in Bullit, which is still considered one of the best car movies ever made for its groundbreaking car chase sequence. Then there are cars like the 1958 Porsche Speedster and the 1965 Ferrari 275 NART Spyder, both of which were owned and raced by McQueen over the course of his lifetime.
McQueen’s Machines comes with a foreword written by Chad McQueen, Steve’s son, which makes this a potentially hot item for gearheads and movie buffs alike. Now available in a paperback edition, you can check it out on Amazon, where it’s priced at under $15, here.
