The whole point of a tattoo, some would tell you, is that it’s permanent. But as the Buddhists say, impermanence is the only really permanent thing in the universe, and Ephemeral is a new kind of tattoo being developed to last about a year. And if you get sick of it before then, it’s much more easily removed than a conventional tattoo.
I say “being developed” because the people behind Ephemeral appear to still be in the process of perfecting their tattoos, but they purport to be on the way to delivering tattoos that look just like the real thing without requiring the disturbing thought experiment of imagining what it will look like 50 years from now.
It’s not known when Ephemeral tattoos will be ready to make millions of people look cooler than they actually are, but you can get more info at the brand’s official site here, where you can also sign up for more details as they become available.
