It only makes sense that one of the most notorious drug lords of all time would get his own biopic.  The only question was whether it would be tailored for the big or the small screen. The answer has turned out to be the latter, with the release of a trailer for El Chapo, an original series about the drug lord of the same name produced in conjunction between Netflix and Univision.

Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzmán is the stranger-than-fiction protagonist who will drive the series, which will premiere on Univison before the entire show drops to Netflix some time after that. The series will reportedly chronicle three decades in the rise and fall of his illustrious career in the international narcotics trade.

You can watch the trailer for El Chapo below. To see the first episodes of the show, stay tuned to Univision on April 23rd, or just keep an eye on your Netflix account for the full series to arrive shortly after that.
