Since Bill Cosby’s long and painful fall from grace, there’s been a vacuum in the “America’s Sitcom Dad” seat of power. There are a lot of potential nominees to serve as Cosby’s successor, but no clear top choice – at least, I thought that was the case, before I watched Earl Sinclair (the lovable goofball dad from the Jim Henson Productions sitcom Dinosaurs) covering “Hypnotize” by The Notorious B.I.G.
OK, so “covering” isn’t technically accurate – the video is more of a mashup that makes it look like Earl Sinclair is performing “Hypnotize.” But it’s a bang-up job, and more than qualifies Earl to become the new Cliff Huxtable, if only it weren’t for the whole extinction thing.
You can watch Earl Sinclair do his best Biggie impression below. And for more from Benjamin Roberts, the genius who presented this masterpiece to the world, take a look at his YouTube channel right here, where (hopefully) there will be a lot more where this came from.
