New from Z Camera comes a camera that can capture 4K, Ultra HD images through a micro 4/3 lens and in a form that’s smaller than any other comparable camera. It’s the E1, reportedly designed by an engineer with a few years of experience at another company known for its smaller-than-imaginable cameras, GoPro.
The Z Camera E1 is the smallest 4K Ultra HD camera in the world, and it can support any lens from MFT Panasonic or Olympus. Its incredibly tiny size isn’t the only trick up its sleeve, though. It also has technological features like motion compensated temporal filtering to artificially cut down on visual noise and jitters.
Z Cameras have had pretty good luck with the E1’s crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter here, where you can still pre-order yours starting at $449 for the next 26 days, which is a $250 discount compared to the camera’s suggested retail price when it comes out at the end of the year.
