It’s been several months since fans got their first look at Dunkirk by way of a very brief teaser. Now, they can get a full trailer‘s worth of material on Christopher Nolan‘s WWII drama, based on the real-life “Operation Dynamo” that saved the lives of more than 300,000 Allied soldiers during a particularly harrowing stretch of World War II.
In typical Nolan fashion though, you can’t expect the trailer for Dunkirk to give the whole game away like a lot of other trailers. Instead, it’s more of a mood piece, laying out the basic premise and leaving the rest of the plot for people who actually go to see the movie to enjoy. There’s also a new poster for the movie now online, and it has a distinctly Dark Knight-ish visual impression:
