New from designer Gus Petrikas is a watch concept specifically for car buffs – and one that many will probably wish was a real product after they get a look at it. It’s DRIVE, a timepiece inspired by analog speedometers and designed to be checked while the wearer has both hands on the steering wheel.
The DRIVE watch was created using Blender 3D, a modeling program for developing product concepts. But if the watch were real, it would be housed in a aluminum unibody case, and its face would display the time using two unorthodox sliding indicators – unorthodox for telling time, that is, but for speed readouts they look just like you’re used to.
