Cable news viewers have long been familiar with CNN’s Don Lemon and his propensity for on-air flubs and straight-up illogical statements. His latest misadventure involves something a little more typical, an honest mistake that could have happened to anyone – but the Lemon touch comes in when he can’t stop apologizing for the harmless slip-up.
During a story on a current controversy surrounding Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly’s falsified war stories, Don Lemon accidentally said “bullshit” on air while quoting O’Reilly. While most TV personalities would probably just laugh it off and offer a quick apology, Lemon acted like he’d said something far, far worse and under worse circumstances, offering repeated pleas for his viewing audience’s forgiveness.
Best of all, you can watch it all go down even if you can’t stand hearing Don Lemon speak, thanks to YouTube user Youll Log, who condensed the whole incident and the ensuing apologies into a brisk 13-second video. You can watch it below, and if for some reason you want more from Don Lemon, you can check out his Twitter account here.
