Imagine the following scenario: You want some pizza. You tweet that you want some pizza. Pizza arrives. You eat the pizza.
If it seems like there are some steps missing there, that’s because I’m describing Domino’s recently announced system for ordering pizza through Twitter, including simply @-replying the Domino’s Twitter account with a pizza emoji.
Of course, you will have to take a few steps to make this dream a reality. You have to register your Twitter handle with Domino’s so they recognize you and know where to send the pizza. And they’ll also DM you to make sure you actually want one, and what exactly you want on the pizza. But the company’s goal is to make the exchange as quick and easy as humanly possible, as per Domino’s CEO Patrick Doyle: ““It’s the epitome of convenience. We’ve got this down to a five-second exchange.”
The feature is currently only available to customers in the US, but everyone can get a lot more information on how it works over at Mashable here. Now if only someone develops this same technology for tweeting that you want a girlfriend, you’ll really be set.
