‘DeathKart’: Custom ‘Mad Max’-Inspired 1991Nissan 240SX (Pics)

New from drift wizard Mike Perez and custom shop Speed House comes a riff on a 1991 Nissan 240SX that would be right at home in the post-apocalyptic wasteland depicted in the Mad Max films. It’s called the DeathKart, a name which also gives you an idea of how soon you can expect to see it out on the streets (never, in other words).

As the story goes, Perez crashed his souped up 240SX, and used the remnants of his old ride to create the DeathKart. Its charred chassis conceals a turbocharged 2.5L 1J engine as well as other goodies, but one component of the car that is not concealed is the giant machine gun in the passenger seat—perfect for those annoying rush hour traffic jams.

The DeathKart was actually first unveiled a couple of years ago, but it’s getting some renewed attention recently, perhaps because we might all wish we had one pretty soon. You can read more about the project here, and take a look at some pictures of the car in the gallery below.
