Here’s some movie advertising that hits me close to home. When I was a kid I didn’t really read too many comic books, instead my superhero print medium of choice was trading cards, which were huge in my early-to-mid 90s heyday. They also serve as the primary point of reference for a new line of Deadpool 2 motion posters released by the film’s official Twitter account a few days ago. Here’s one, take a look:

As you can see, the Deadpool 2 motion posters feature brief animated snippets featuring the character in question, first with a comic book visual feature and then without. Then the “poster” flips over to reveal the character’s stats, just like my collection of cards from back in the day.
