Yesterday we showed you a teaser for an upcoming collaborative collection between Converse and Maison Martin Margiela. Not much was known about what was in store then, but we now know that the collaboration consists of variants on two classic Converse sneakers: The Chuck Taylor All Star and the Jack Purcell.
Both of the Converse sneakers in the Maison Martin Margiela x Converse collection are wrapped in MMM’s signature white paint, with colorful uppers hidden beneath. The idea is that the white paint will slowly chip off as you wear the shoe, and your pair won’t look like any other.
You can see the effect in action in the gallery up top. To get a pair for yourself, head to select retailers on September 20th, when the shoes in the Converse Maison Martin Margiela sneaker collection will hit shelves with an MSRP of $200.
