Another entry in the K-cup inspired home cooking appliance genre has made its way to the public, and for something that even many of us kitchen-idiots have already learned to make with our regular oven. It’s called CHiP, and it is a WiFi-connected “smart cookie oven” for enjoying cookies in an even easier, faster, and hopefully more convenient way.
CHiP has absolutely no affiliation whatsoever with the California Highway Patrol, and works like this: You get your pre-made “dough pod,” scan the barcode, slap the pod and/or pods in the oven, and wait for the timer to go off. You just made a batch of cookies all while expending roughly the same amount of thought it requires to eat one.
