On the list of nice places to work, “factory in China” is close to the bottom. But according to China Daily, it’s at least getting a little cooler for some Chinese factory workers, thanks to a new piece of air-conditioned apparel.
The air-conditioned vests work through a series of tubes (not the internet kind) that circulate through the vest and keep the wearer’s core temperature markedly cooler than without the vest—between 19 and 15 degrees Celsius.
It’s pretty good news, and hopefully it is a sign that better working conditions and wages are on their way across China. You can read the original report from China Daily here.
