How smart is the average outdoor watch? Not very. How rugged and outdoorsman-like is the average smartwatch? I dunno, mildly? Any freshman marketing major can see what has to happen next, and now it’s happened, in the form of the Casio Smart Outdoor Watch.
The Casio Smart Outdoor Watch combines the usual rugged construction of a Casio joint with an array of smart features courtesy of its Android Wear system under the hood. Plus, if things get really hairy out there, you can switch its LCD over to a monochrome bare bones mode for up to a month of use out of a single battery charge.
The video below shows off the above as well as many more of the Casio Smart Outdoor Watch’s features and capabilities, and you can get more information in advance of eventual release and pricing details at Casio’s official site right here.
