Casio is one of the most famous and respected brands in digital watches. And they’re really showing their mettle with the G-Shock G-Lide GWX-8900B-7DR, a new digital watch designed for the world of surfing.
In addition to the typical features you would expect from a watch designed for hanging ten, like water-resistance (up to 200 meters) and shock-resistance, the GWX has some pretty amazing technological gadgets attached to it. Owners of previous iterations of the GWX will note that this watch retains the tide/moon graph display of its predecessors, but with a very impressive addition: The display includes tidal information for 100 of the most popular surfing destinations in the world, and an addition of 49 empty customizable data slots for any destination the wearer chooses. Radical, gnarly, etc.
The G-Shock G-Lide GWX-8900B-7DR is expected to hit select retailers in August and should run you somewhere around $150.
