The iconic G-Shock digital watch from Casio has a 30th birthday coming up in 2013. To celebrate, Casio is releasing a special series of limited edition 30th Anniversary G-Shock watches, all with a distinctive red gloss or matte red finish over the brand’s best-selling models, along with a a “30th Anniversary” logo from graffiti artist Eric Haze.
There will be five different pieces released as part of this series, including the Ref. GW-M5630A-4, which serves as a throwback to the very first G-Shock watch, and the Frogman model Ref. GWFT103A-1, which has the most high-tech features, like a radio-controlled Multi-Band 6 Atomic quartz movement. All of the watches in the series except for the Frogman will cost $500 (image above) – for the feature-packed Frogman, you gotta cough up $1700 (image below).
