New from Tag Heuer comes a concept chronograph inspired by the world of motorsports. It’s the Carrera Carbon Matrix Composite, a high-tech interpretation of the iconic Carrera watch first released back in 1963.
Constructed from a space-age carbon composite that was developed by both NASA and Formula One, the Carrera Carbon Matrix Composite Concept Chronograph (whew) is also inspired by the 2012 Carrera Mikrogrider, which was named “Swiss Watch of the Year” by the judges at the Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix.
You can see a lot more information about the watch at Tag Heuer’s press release on their website here. As for whether or not Tag Heuer will be putting this concept into a larger production run, there’s no word yet. But expect this to be a tough watch to get your hands on in any case.
