Camus may be a well known philosopher, but it’s also a well known and highly respected Cognac brand. This rare brand of liquor is difficult to find in the United States, but it has enjoyed popularity internationally.
The Camus distillery is introducing a line of cognac called Camus Extra Elegance. Tasters describe it as “mild” but “more balanced” than Camus’ XO bottling. It has hints of orange, peach, and floral notes with a touch of maple syrup.
The Camus Extra Elegance is aged, presumably having spent at least 40 years in the barrel, and costs $395 per bottle.
