The Call of Duty franchise has its roots in the Second World War, but in recent years its struck its own path into other forms of combat, like the future war of the last installment Infinite Warfare. But a new trailer shows Call of Duty: WWII going back to those World War II roots in a big way.
Call of Duty: WWII follows “a squad’s remarkable journey of personal growth and heroism across Europe in World War II, and is a story about common men and women doing uncommon things to preserve freedom,” taking players from occupied France, to Belgium, and into Germany to punch some Nazis, which I guess makes this game as relevant as ever.
