You probably heard about Radiohead systematically deleting all of its social media accounts over the weekend, a move that provoked many into thinking a surprise album drop was on the way. Instead we have “Burn The Witch,” a new single (presumably) from the upcoming record and a video to go with it.
The video for “Burn The Witch” combines Davey and Goliath-style stop-motion animation with The Wicker Man and a little bit of Blue Velvet thrown in for good measure—in other words, a surefire commercial smash. The song itself is an orchestral wall of sound, the grandeur of which is contrasted by the goofy (but sinister) visuals.
But why read a paragraph of faux critspeak when you can just watch the Radiohead “Burn The Witch” video for yourself below? And since I can’t link you to the band’s Facebook or Twitter accounts because they don’t exist anymore, I’ll send you to their YouTube channel here instead.
