Beer and whiskey is mighty risky, but now there’s a way to bring the two somewhat spiritually together without having to employ any kind of spurious bourbon loophole. And anyway it’s moot, because no amount of folksy rhyming sayings can compete with the drawing power of a collaboration between Jim Beam and Budweiser: Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager.
Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager is aged on real Jim Beam barrel staves, which purportedly gives the beer “a toasted oak aroma and deliciously nutty taste with caramel rye and vanilla notes.” Here’s Bud marketing VP Ricardo Marques on the collaboration:
“We are very excited about this partnership not only because both brands share common history but also an obsession for quality and a decade’s long connection to America. This is a truly unique partnership and innovation that will surely drive excitement with our drinkers.”
Budweiser Reserve Copper Lager is coming out sometime this month, and you can read more about the item at its official press release right here.
