The Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute is limited to an extremely limited production of 1,962 watches—in lieu of the watch’s first release in 1962.
Designed for use in space, the Navitimer Cosmonaute is well regarded (by astronauts, even!) for its reliability, durability and functionality in zero gravity as well as heavy gravity conditions.
A black face accompanies a steel dial of the Navitimer Cosmonaute, and it’s finished off with a fine leather wrist strap. The face of the watch is loaded with all the information an astronaut could ever ask for on a watch.
The back of the watch is inscribed with the Aurora 7 mission, which represents the first time the watch made it into space. According to the Cosmonaute’s proud history, Lt. Commander Scott Carpenter was the first of many astronauts to wear it.
