Sure, everybody’s talking about the new Drake release today, but maybe his poor performance in his ongoing Pusha T beef has soured you on his music. If so, I have some good news, because since jazz legend John Coltrane has been dead for over 50 years it would be next to impossible for him to embarrass himself in any beef-related scenario, and now a former “lost album” by Coltrane has been released: Both Directions At Once: The Lost Album.
Both Directions At Once: The Lost Album is taken from a 1963 session with Coltrane and the band known as his Classic Quartet. It was reportedly lost for decades after Impulse Records made the shortsighted decision to erase the master tape to save space, but this belated release is possible thanks to another copy that Coltrane had given to his wife.
