BMW recently unveiled their plug-in hybrid model, the i8, this week at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. According to BMW, the i8 is one of “the most anticipated cars in history.” Whether or not that’s actually the case is up for debate, but it is cool to see a major automaker like BMW getting into the hybrid sports car game, nonetheless.
The BMW i8 certainly appears to have the appropriate amount of style and class for an electric hybrid sports car. For proof, just check out the image of the i8 above. And for a full breakdown of the BMW i8 and the company’s expectations for the car, take a look at their press release here.
The BMW i8 is slated to hit showrooms in time for the spring of 2014, with a price tag of just under $136,000.
