Dream pop band Chromatics broke new ground in the field of autodestructive art when they announced that they were destroying all copies of their long-in-the-works album Dear Tommy and re-recording it. Now, the album appears to actually be on the way, with the release of a new single and accompanying video: “Black Walls.”
If you’re familiar with the signature sound of the band, “Black Walls” will probably sound just like you’d want a new Chromatics track to sound. Then there’s the video, which, again, is right on the money as far as this band’s previous work is concerned. Take a look if you have a few minutes to spare:
