Felix Semper is an artist who specializes in a unique form: Sculptures that at a glance appear to be made of marble or some other stone, but which are actually made from densely layered paper that makes them flexible and stretchable. His latest work is entitled BIG POPPA, in the likeness of rap legend The Notorious B.I.G.
BIG POPPA depicts Biggie wearing his richly deserved crown—which, incidentally, doesn’t appear to be made of paper like the rest of the piece.
In the video showing his work, Semper stretches and restores the sculpture in such a way that creates a trippy visual effect. It doesn’t appear to be for sale, though, so watching the video is as good as it gets for now.
You can do that below, and for more where BIG POPPA came from you can check out more of Semper’s paper sculptures and his work in other media at his official site here.
