I didn’t know this until today, but evidently there are some pretty good investigative reporters working the ice cream beat out there (and you thought journalism was dead). But after someone at the Instagram account CandyHunting teased the upcoming release of Ben & Jerry’s Urban Bourbon ice cream, an intrepid reporter for Thrillist determined that B&J had filed a trademark application for the name.
In a Woodward & Bernstein-worthy scoop, Ben & Jerry’s Urban Bourbon will be burnt caramel ice cream with almonds, fudge flakes, and bourbon caramel swirls. What we don’t know is when the ice cream will be available, or even an official confirmation from the boys from Vermont—but stay tuned for more developments.
In the meantime you can check out the original Thrillist article right here, and keep your eyes peeled on your local grocery store freezer case for Ben & Jerry’s Urban Bourbon sometime soon.
