Apple recently acquired the Beats Music and Beats Electronics brands, and now we have one of our first glimpses at what the future of Dr. Dre’s iconic/infamous audio brand will be with the unveiling of the new Beats Pill+.
The Beats Pill+ is a total overhaul of the original Beats Pill, with two-way crossover stereo technology, two custom woofers, and a pair of tweeters that all come together to provide sound quality that purportedly blows the previous incarnations of the Pill out of the water. The new Pill also has a companion app (that works with Android as well as iOS), new play/pause button in the Beats logo, a 12-hour battery life, and more.
Another upgrade (or downgrade, depending on whether you’re buying or selling) of the Beats Pill+ can be found in its $230 price tag. You have until next month, when the Pill+ is set to come out, to save up, and until then you can get some more info from Apple and Beats’ official press release on the product right here.
