Even casual fans of the Wu-Tang Clan know that they prefer Voltron to the Autobots and Decepticons, but that hasn’t stopped BAIT from bringing them together with the latter in a new line of BAIT Wu-Tang Transformers for this year’s upcoming San Diego Comic-Con.
The BAIT Wu-Tang Transformers feature four Transformers with the Wu-Tang logo in place of their usual Autobot or Decepticon badge of allegiance. The four characters to get the Killer Bee treatment are Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, and in an appropriate choice given the Wu-Tang’s art form, Soundwave. The 4.5-inch figures also have bigger heads than traditional Transformers toys, as well as a more samurai-influenced look.
You can pick up your own BAIT Wu-Tang Transformers action figures at the BAIT Comic-Con booth in San Diego, as well as in all nine of the brand’s official retail outlets, where they’re reportedly priced at $30 a pop. Somewhere, Voltron weeps bitter tears.
