I thought we all learned our lesson from the Juicero debacle, but now some bold innovators are attempting to apply the same basic principle to the home smoothie maker. It’s called Avazzy, and I have to admit, given how much of a pain it can be to wash out a blender and keep your fridge stocked with fresh produce, I can see the appeal.

Avazzy, as its makers are quick to inform you, is NOT a blender. Instead, it uses those natural (and, importantly, silent) forces heat and gravity to turn pre-made frozen smoothie packets from various cafes and restaurants around the United States into fresh, delicious, healthy, etc smoothies in your own home.
