A while back we reported that Apple and Intel were developing some kind of “smartwatch,” and according to a recent blog post from former Apple employee Bruce Tognazzini, the iWatch’s development is kicking into high gear. The company reportedly has around 100 developers on the project, which will feature a wristwatch that handles many of the tasks the iPhone and iPad do now.
Here’s an excerpt from Tognazzini’s blog post (you can check out the whole thing here), which definitely makes the iWatch sound like something to be excited about:
“The iWatch will fill a gaping hole in the Apple ecosystem. Like other breakthrough Apple products, its value will be underestimated at launch, then grow to have a profound impact on our lives and Apple’s fortunes.”
These are still just rumors, but it appears as though the Apple iWatch is really starting to take shape.
