In a culmination of endless built-up anticipation, Apple has finally let slip a few assorted details about the upcoming iOS 7. On the aesthetic side, one notable improvement over iOS 6 will be the elimination of attempting to pattern the visual designs of applications after their real-world equivalents—something that many iOS 6 users have grown to hate.
Everything from the lock screen to Apple staples like Safari and Siri are getting upgrades, and iOS 7 will also offer a new feature called “iOS in the Car,” for hands-free use of your Apple device while driving.
It’s still in beta now, but iOS 7 is scheduled for an official release later this summer. You can check out a lot more info on iOS 7 at Apple’s website here.
