Amazon Prime Air: New Shipping Drone Unveiled (Video)

Amazon has been promising an airborne network of high-speed delivery drones for a while, and it appears that we’re now one step closer to seeing that happen. They call it Amazon Prime Air, and the service’s newest delivery drone has been unveiled in a new video.

The video, hosted by former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson, depicts a scenario in which a pair of shoes is needed right away – a scenario which under normal, present circumstances would result in either tears, a frantic trip to a store, or both. But Amazon Prime Air’s new delivery drone can have that pair of shoes (or practically anything else) at your door in 30 minutes or less!

Amazon Prime Air isn’t available yet, although I predict many orders being placed through the service just to see it in action once it is. ¬†And not all areas will be serviced by the type of drone seen in the video below. You can get more information on the service right here.
