The latest joint from Mache Customs is capitalizing on all that Spider-Man that’s in the air, thanks to the impending release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It’s a “Spider-Man” custom version of the Air Jordan 4, showing that the Web-Slinger and the Jumpman go together pretty well.
Mache’s “Spider-Man” Air Jordan 4 weaves Spidey’s signature red and blue color scheme as well as those iconic webs for a sneaker that looks like a high-class and much cooler version of superhero sneakers you might have gotten at Wal-Mart or Payless as a kid. It’s actually kind of impressive that Mache was able to get such an interesting look out of an idea that has launched countless cheap and artless sneakers.
The “Spider-Man” Air Jordan 4 by Mache Customs was, of course, a custom job, so these probably won’t be available for general purchase any time soon. But you can get a good look at the sneaker up at the top, courtesy of Mache’s Instagram account. And for even more of Mache’s work, take a look at his website here.
