The watchmaking arm of the adidas brand has unveiled their tribute to the adidas Originals Superstar set to come out next month. It’s the adidas Timing 1969 Watch, an intriguing watch design with both feet firmly planted in the brand’s illustrious past.
The most immediately recognizable retro design element of the adidas Timing 1969 Watch is the distinctive rubberized material in the accentuated case wall, which just happens to be the same stuff that makes up the iconic shelltoe of the original Superstar sneaker. Beyond that, there’s also the striking gold finish and a herringbone pattern seen on the watch’s dial that evokes the outsole of the adidas Originals Superstar.
You can see a few photos of the adidas Timing 1969 Watch in the gallery below. And if you like what you see, draw a big red circle (or maybe three stripes) on the March 25th section of your calendar, because that’s when the watch is set to hit select adidas retailers.
