50 Awesome Beer Labels

by Esteban

While sales are slipping for the giant beer corporations of the world, the craft beer industry is booming. Through the first half of 2012, craft beer sales have risen a whopping 14%, while production has risen 12%. Sure, the total volume of craft beer produced is just a drop in the bucket compared to what companies like Anheuser-Busch-InBev produce in a month. But the fact is that the growth of the craft beer industry has quadrupled the number of beers available are your local liquor store.

This, obviously, is a good thing. Not only does it provide you, the consumer, with a chance to sample beer styles you haven’t had before, but the increased competition has encouraged companies to get pretty creative with their labels and packaging. So instead of the plain, boring labels you’d find on Bud Light or Heineken, you get psychedelic paintings, ironic imagery, and cutting edge. And the result is that beer labels have become a genuine art form.

Don’t believe it? Then you need to drink less Coors Light…and read this list, obviously.
