The movie 21 Jump Street starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill was a surprise hit last year, so it’s no big surprise that the sequel is on its way. They just moved across the street, to 22 Jump Street, and from an undercover high school narcotics operation to an undercover college operation. And they still look too old to be where they are.
The red band trailer for 22 Jump Street has jokes about all of the above and more, and since it’s a red band trailer, there’s plenty of swearing and adult situations to go along with them. So watch with your headphones on if you’re at work.
You can do just that below. And beneath that, you can check out the film’s official plot synopsis.
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.
