It’s time for a reminder that drones aren’t just used to blow up police suspects or race through real-life video game courses, but that they can also take some pretty cool photographs too. And so we have the 2016 International Drone Photography Contest, the winners of which have now been revealed.
Judges for the 2016 International Drone Photography Contest received around six thousand submissions, which they somehow managed to narrow down to nine winners across three different categories: “Travel,” “Nature and Wildlife” and “Sports and Adventure.” And all of the photos represent the kinds of visuals that can only be captured via drone.
