We’re all familiar with the Planet Earth BBC documentary franchise, which focuses on high-definition video of this wonderful, strange planet. But there’s an underrated tributary to this series that has run for six 10-hour installments – that’s not a typo, each episode is 10 hours long – and the latest installment is entitled “10 Hours Of Relaxing Planet Earth II City Sounds.”
The descriptively titled “10 Hours Of Relaxing Planet Earth II City Sounds” is made from raw footage taken by Planet Earth II camera crews – stuff that would normally be found only on the proverbial cutting room floor. But this is 2017, and there’s unlimited space on the internet, so the folks at the BBC have been dropping the footage in soothing 10-hour bursts.
