Believe it or not, it’s been eight years since Cloverfield came out, and since it was a moderately successful genre film that means it’s time for a sequel. Of course, if you saw Cloverfield, you know there aren’t too many characters left alive at the end on which to build a conventional continued narrative, so instead we have 10 Cloverfield Lane, and a trailer in advance of its March release date.
Said to be set in the same universe as Cloverfield (albeit in a corner of that universe with much more stable cameras and recognizable faces), 10 Cloverfield Lane is about three characters (played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Gallagher Jr. and John Goodman) stuck in an underground lair under siege by mysterious creatures outside.
