#FoodFilms: David Ma’s Recipe Web Series Inspired by Famous Directors (Video)
What if Quentin Tarantino made spaghetti and meatballs? Or if Michael Bay made waffles? Or if Wes Anderson made s’mores? Or if Alfonso Cuaron made pancakes? Well? Well??? What if they did that? Those are the questions asked, and answered by a new series of recipe videos from David Ma. It’s called #FoodFilms, despite the plain fact that none of the above filmmakers would ever use a hashtag in the titles of their films.
As Ma himself describes it, “#FoodFilms reimagines recipe videos in the style of famous directors.” There are only four episodes so far, but you can imagine the possibilities, and if it turns out to be a success he may have to turn to more obscure filmmakers — personally, I’m holding out for a William Girdler episode. Here’s Tarantino’s spaghetti:
