Paving for Pizza: Domino’s is Now Filling Potholes
Everyone knows that the United States of America’s infrastructure of roads, bridges, railroad tracks, and so on, the arteries that keep the country alive and which was once the greatest in the world, is crumbling. But I don’t think too many people could have predicted that Domino’s, rather than the federal government, would step in to fix some of those annoying potholes. But they are, in an initiative called Paving for Pizza. And since Domino’s is a giant company that sells pizza, they’re doing it for pizza-related reasons:
“POTHOLES, CRACKS, AND BUMPS IN THE ROAD CAN CAUSE IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO YOUR PIZZA DURING THE DRIVE HOME FROM DOMINO’S. WE CAN’T STAND BY AND LET YOUR CHEESE SLIDE TO ONE SIDE, YOUR TOPPINGS GET UN-TOPPED, OR YOUR BOXES GET FLIPPED. SO WE’RE HELPING TO PAVE IN TOWNS ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO SAVE YOUR GOOD PIZZA FROM THESE BAD ROADS.”
Whether or not your primary consideration in wanting to get your town’s potholes filled is efficient pizza delivery, you can nominate your own town at the official Paving for Pizza site right here. Hopefully, Pizza Hut will get cracking on our national health crisis soon.
